Tb-Scout v3.3 represents content from a trustworthy source
There might be just one type of warning message, shown below, that you may see when you try to start Tb‑Scout v3.3 for the first time.
It is safe to open Tb-Scout v3.3 in your computer. It does not contain unsafe content. This type of message is generic, and refers to a Microsoft 365/Office file or application that contains macros and programming code. However, since Tb-Scout 3.3 is already a compiled application there is no risk whatsoever of external macros or programming code getting into the application.
Once the application is opened following this prompt, this notice will not show again.
The message reads:
"Microsoft Access Security Notice A potential security concern has been identified. Warning: It is not possible to determine that this content came from a trustworthy source. You should leave this content disabled unless the content provides critical functionality and you trust its source. File Path: [Location of Tb-Scout v3.3] This file might contain unsafe content that could harm your computer. Do you want to open this file or cancel the operation?" |

- However, you can always trust this file, already vetted by the RWS AppStore, and click [Open].
- The application will automatically become a trusted document in a trusted location (i.e, the location where you install the application). What this means is that you can confidently open the application each time without any warning messages.
The following procedure applies to all Tb-Scout versions if after pressing "Open" you still cannot start the application, or if the "Open" button is not available:

In the next step, the first time that you open the application you should be able to see this or a similar screen (where just content varies, depending on the MultiTerm version selected and license period), which is the registration form.
Warning: if you do not see the form below, you may have a counterfeit application file. Close immediately that file in the Windows Task Manager. Then delete the file and contact the developer for a genuine application file.
